Friendly Weddings
For those "save the planet" brides and grooms, here are a few tips for
a environments friendly wedding.
- Wherever possible, reuse or use recycled products for your
wedding. These items include: Invitations, response cards,
confetti cards, gift wrapping, try to use any paper products
that are made of recyclable paper.
- Design an organic menu in which your foods are locally and
organically grown.
- As an alternative to cut flowers for centerpieces and other
decoration, use potted plants which can continue to be used and
enjoyed. Make sure to use organically grown flowers for your
bouquets.
- Give environment friendly wedding favors to your guest.
- If this is your second wedding, think about requesting
instead of wedding gifts, a check be given to a charity that supports
environmental concerns.
- Give to others after the big event. Food left
over from the wedding could be given to a homeless shelter.
